Membership of the Association (founded in 1974) is open to all bearing the name Lumsden (however spelt) and to all who descend from Lumsdens or who have an interest in the family and its history. The Association is social and seeks to preserve buildings associated with the family, burial grounds and monuments. It also publishes articles of interest and genealogical information, supplies Tartan and Crest badges and other items of interest. A Bulletin is sent to members twice a year and the Association organises a Gathering every third year. The next Gathering is planned for the year 2009.
Membership fees are £15.00 per year
